IN COLLABORATION WITH SEVERAL MACHINES AND ONE WITH THE SKY

Ossagrosse (b. 1995) is an Italian artist based in Berlin whose practice spans still images, audio, and video created in collaboration with artificial intelligence. Their work reflects on the evolving relationship between humans and machines, exploring themes of identity and what our interactions with this technology reveal about ourselves.

Ossagrosse's art has been featured in platforms such as Red Eye, Fisheye, and Artribune, as well as in the book Spells: Pioneers by Max Kuwertz. Recently, they released Downscale, a series of 100 stills for the Post Photographic Perspectives III event by Fellowship. This work, along with their short film I’ve Seen Ghosts and the audio piece Faley, exemplifies their ongoing exploration of AI as both a tool and a subject in contemporary art.

They have also exhibited in Berlin, showcasing /SLEEP, a modular collection of videos which explores the collaboration with machines as peeking through the dreams of a sleeping mind. Ossagrosse believes that “confronting the machine is a medium to explore one’s inner world,” a philosophy that underpins much of their practice.
